New York, NY — August 2012 — From the creators of the award winning DeKalb Market in Brooklyn and Camden Lock in London, comes the ultimate pop-up market, UrbanSpace Meatpacking. Slated to open September 1st, UrbanSpace Meatpacking will feature cult food favorites like Roberta’s Pizza, Red Hook Lobster Pound and Mexicue, along with refined fashion retailers such as NFP Studio and Humble Chic.
Open seven days a week, UrbanSpace Meatpacking brings together some of NYC’s best food and retail artisans in one place, uniting people over good food and affordable, unique shopping. Over 60 vendors will come together under The Highline at the intersection of Washington and 13th Streets directly across the street from the Standard Hotel.
The centerpiece of UrbanSpace Meatpacking will be the Mixology Garden, a high-end juice bar serving fruit and vegetable juices, infusions, and smoothies. The Garden will act as a refreshing detox center in the midst of the bar-studded Meatpacking District.
“We are thrilled to be able to open a market in the Meatpacking District, ” said Eldon Scott, President, Urban Space. “We have an amazing and eclectic mix of vendors from food to fashion that will complement the high energy vibe of the area.”
UrbanSpace Meatpacking will offer fresh designs and inspired food from specialty vendors such as: Insiders 1, Kira Kira Jewelry, Bellero Design, Asia Dog, Arancini Bros, La Sonrisa and Steve’s Ice Cream.
Located at the center of “New York’s most fashionable neighborhood,” according to New York Magazine, UrbanSpace Meatpacking brings a sense of community to the area, providing a collaborative meeting place for artists, designers, chefs and tastemakers.
